New Life Ministries 20th Anniversary 2008
CRUISE MEDITERRANEAN
June 28th - July 5th, 2008
Dear Friends,
Have you always dreamed of cruising the Mediterranean but never
thought it possible? Well, now is your chance to make that dream a
reality! We have booked an amazing cruise that’s affordable, and it
will be fun to celebrate New Life’s 20 years in ministry together.
On June 28th we will board our ship, The Royal Caribbean’s Voyager
of the Seas, in Barcelona, Spain and make stops in the remarkable
ports of Nice, France; Florence, Rome, Capri, and Sicily, Italy and
then return to Barcelona, Spain on July 5th. With so many fantastic
ports, this trip will be a wonderful combination of amazing sights,
learning from God’s word and connecting with fellow believers.
Joining me this year will be my great friends and colleagues who
have been with New Life since its inception, Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr.
John Townsend. We will join together each morning for devotions and each evening for dinner, praise, worship,
teaching and interacting. On one of our days at sea we will record a New Life Live! radio show with you as
the audience and participants!
Also joining me will be my friend, Russ Lee. He is a Dove Award –nominee and honored song writer who has
been featured on more than 10 #1 hit singles over the years-including songs recorded during tenures with two
of Christian music’s best-loved groups, NewSong and Truth. Russ has a true heart for God and will lead us in
praise and worship each day and will present one special evening concert.
Start planning your trip now! We are excited to be working with “Christian Travel Finder” and know that they
will take great care of you as you plan your vacation of a lifetime. Don’t miss the opportunity to bring a group
of your friends or family – if you book 10 passengers in a group you will receive one free* cruise fare!
Call today to make your dreams a reality.
See you in Barcelona!

Dr. Cloud is a clinical psychologist with a unique ability to
connect with audiences. Drawing upon his broad range of
experiences in private practice, leadership consulting, and

“in the moment” confrontation that make his approach to
psychology and spirituality such a success.
Dr. Townsend, clinical psychologist and marriage and family
therapist, is an engaging and informative speaker. He has
helped countless people in many arenas of life, with his

With the release of his latest recording, the retrospective
Pictures on Mantles: The Best of Russ Lee, this husband
and father of three, ordained minister, acclaimed singer/
songwriter and new record company president is getting one
step closer to that destiny. A striking contrast to the drug
dealer lost in a wilderness of rebellion during his youth;
today Russ is a living testament to God’s grace and mercy.
He’s a man on a mission to share that Hope with the world.
Itinerary:
Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona is located in the northeastern part of the country, 90 miles of the
French border. People from all around the world enjoy visiting this city for
its individuality, cultural interest and physical beauty. When Hans Christian
Anderson visited in 1862, he remarked that Barcelona was the “Paris of Spain.”
You’re likely to agree. The city is a major cultural center with a fascinating history.
Everywhere are archives, libraries, museums and buildings of interest-plus
superb examples of modernist and Art Nouveau décor and architecture.
Nice (Villefranche), France
Villefranche is your gateway to the one-of-a-kind French Riviera, home to
Monte Carlo, Cannes, and Nice. Shaded by jagged mountains touching deep
blue shores, Villefranche offers sunny beaches, sophisticated resort cities, quaint
red-roofed villages and spectacular views.
Florence, Italy
Livorno, in the Tusan region of Italy, is ideally located for exploring some of the
most beautiful cities in Italy, including Florence and Pisa. Florence is most noted
as the birthplace to the Renaissance. Highlights include impressive piazzas and an
incomparable 15th-century skyline-sure to offer charm and
an unforgettable experience to any visitor.
Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
Civitavecchia is the gateway to all the magnificence of the
ancient city of Rome. Whether it’s the Forum, the Sistine
Chapel, the Pantheon or St. Peter’s Basilica that sparks our interest
and intellect, Rome is home to a lifetime’s worth of historical, architectural and spiritual
sites. Depending on traffic, the drive from Civitavecchia to Rome takes approximately
an hour and a half.
Naples/Capri, Italy
Naples is not only picturesque, it’s also one of the world’s greatest cultural centers,
filled with extraordinary works of art and architecture in the classical Greek and Roman
styles. Several interesting tours are available of the city itself and the fascinating places
that lie just outside of Naples.
Sicily (Palermo), Italy
Palermo’s history is marked by the multitude of conquerors and subsequent cultures
that settle there. The Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans,
Romans, French Angevins, Spanish Aragonese, and even the Mafia are among
those who have contributed to Palermo’s collective cultural history. The resulting
cultural blend emanates from Palermo’s buildings, art, and
people. From the Cappella
Palatina with its stunning
biblical mosaics and Arabstyle
stalactites and alveoli
ceiling to the Quattro Canti,
a city square in the heart
of Palermo containing four
seventeen-century palaces.

Voyager of the Seas
This ship is a revolutionary marvel of naval engineering. Enjoy one-of-a-kind features like an ice-skating rink, the Royal Promenade and a rock-climbing wall, just for starters. How did we accommodate all of these innovative ideas? Simple. We built a bigger cruise ship. The 138,000-ton, 3,114-guest Voyager of the Seas became the world's largest cruise ship when it entered service in November 1999. Innovations on this and other Voyager-family ships add up to more space for every guest, and include enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and exceptional recreational facilities.
